Description

This issue of the magazine includes the following features:

  • The Inauguration of Rev. Mark T. Cregan, C.S.C. '78: In September, the Stonehill community officially welcomed Fr. Cregan at his Inauguration as the College's ninth president, while a large contingent from his parish in the Bronx, N.Y. joined to wish him well.
  • Fr Cregan is... : Seven students who knew Fr. Cregan the pastor before he became the president tell us what Fr. Cregan the man means to them.
  • Presidential Profiles: Fr. Cregan is not the only Stonehill alumnus to find his way into the president's seat at a college. Here, SAM profiles three other sitting college presidents who are alumni and two past presidents, including Stonehill's President Emeritus Bartley MacPhaidin, C.S. C. '59.
  • The Great Fallacy: In an adaptation from his forthcoming book, Text, Rocks, and Talk: Reclaiming Biblical Christianity, Lanci discusses this world and the next, reminding us that this existence is not simply a ticket into heaven, but a journey to be cherished.
