Main Street and Downtown Brockton were always favorite subjects of Stanley Bauman. Through the 1950s and 1960s he captured a vibrant but city. Some buildings were torn down or renovated, while others remained unwavering city landmarks. Shoppers thronged the department stores and markets, especially during Christmastime and summer sidewalk sales.
