Catherine Hobart Ames, married to Oakes Angier Ames on July 19, 1855, by Rev. Joseph H. Phipps in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Catherine was the daughter of Judge Aaron M. C. and Maria (Leach) Hobart of East Bridgewater, was born in East Bridgewater April 26, 1836, and died in North Easton January 20, 1903. Oakes Angier was President of Oliver Ames & Sons corporation, and the Ames Shovel and Tool Company. He was a trustee for numerous corporations. He and his family lived on Main Street, North Easton.
